With a focus on developing fine motor skills, children play at the table, at an easel or the water station.
We welcome babies and children to our Mini-Martlets playgroup between the ages of six months and two years, every morning, from Monday to Friday. Mini-Martlets provides a purpose-built, safe and secure space within our Pre-Prep for babies and toddlers to explore and develop their sensory skills and movement, while benefitting from belonging to the wider prep community.
Whether it’s through structured play, swimming, horse riding or music, our aim in Mini-Martlets is to give the children all the support they need to thrive, become more independent and take the move to Pre-Nursery in their stride.
In common with the rest of the Pre-Prep, Mini-Martlets can come in for as little or as much as they wish. We offer a full morning or a shorter session between 8:00am and 10:00am for a lower rate. This enables families to build up their child’s attendance gradually, should they wish, as they approach Pre-Nursery.
Mini-Martlets can bring in their own food, although break-time snacks are provided at no extra cost. Lunch is also available as an optional extra, at Ksh. 200 per day, if required.

With a focus on developing fine motor skills, children play at the table, at an easel or the water station.
Sitting together on the floor, children sing songs, often with sign language, read stories and learn about colours, body parts and new words. Often these activities are themed around a weekly topic.
Everybody goes outside for PE; balance, co-ordination and teamwork set the foundations for all the sports that come further up the school.
Sensory play time, whether it be with sand, water, mud or play dough, means there is plenty of fun to be had with some messy play.
A homemade snack is enjoyed and there is an opportunity for children to choose what and who they would like to play with.
Following a little break, children are encouraged to get creative through making, drawing or painting. Often the subject cleverly ties in with our weekly topic.
After a little tidy up, children settle down to listen to a story.
The children sit together to eat the delicious, balanced lunch provided.
After lunch, children are collected, ready for a rest after a busy, fun-filled morning with their friends.
