Pembroke Foundation
The Foundation is a UK registered charity committed to ensuring Pembroke House School continues to thrive.
Funds raised by the Foundation go directly to Pembroke House School to provide our students with exceptional educators, boarding and sporting facilities, and extracurricular opportunities, all while nurturing a diverse community. The Foundation’s fundraising endeavours are dedicated to preserving Pembroke’s adventurous spirit and its ability to nurture each student’s individual talents.
Centenary
As Pembroke House approaches its Centenary year, the Foundation embarks on a bold mission to raise 100,000,000 Kenyan Shillings by 2027. This ambitious goal will ensure Pembroke House School retains its esteemed position as one of the world’s premier preparatory establishments, providing unparalleled education amidst a rapidly evolving global landscape. With your support, we can continue to empower our students with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
Join the journey in building a brighter Pembroke future; we are focusing our fundraising into these three key areas.
The Pembroke House Foundation endowment fund is a long-term investment vehicle established to provide ongoing financial support for Pembroke House School’s future. Contributions to the endowment will be invested, and the returns generated will be used to fund programs, initiatives, or scholarships in perpetuity. By creating an endowment fund, donors can leave a lasting impact on Pembroke, ensuring its resilience and ability to fulfil its goals well into the future.
Pembroke House Foundation is deeply committed to enhancing the academic, sporting, and boarding experiences of our students through strategic infrastructure projects. These projects aim to create modern and inviting spaces that support innovative learning, athletic excellence, and a nurturing boarding environment.
Pembroke House Foundation is dedicated to uplifting the local community through charitable giving. By supporting local charities, we address the needs of underprivileged individuals living near Pembroke House, ensuring they have access to essential resources and opportunities. Through these initiatives, we strive to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the well-being and empowerment of our neighbours. Every year, Pembroke House Foundation commits to giving 10% of funds raised to select local charities.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters The Foundation has successfully built the music school, The Martlet Café and the fabulous theatre, all of which have immeasurably improved our offering to current and future Pembroke families. The Foundation also facilitated the building of two full size tennis courts with an immensely kind donation from the Widgery family, after whom our tennis cup is named. Our organ in the chapel, together with the hymn books, six upright pianos and two grand pianos have also been gifted through the foundation.
Our ongoing fundraising is destined to finance the replacement of our Junior School block with a new, purpose built, environmentally conscious building that will offer additional space and an enhanced learning environment for our children. A current project that recent donations have made possible is the Queen’s Canopy, in memory of Queen Elisabeth II and supporting our sustainability drive, we have planted a small forest of indigenous trees, installed a large green house and composting area and plan to add a grove of wild olive trees, introduce an apiary and install an outdoor learning pavilion.
