Pembroke House Shortlisted for TES Award on Specialist Provision

Pembroke is nominated for the Specialist Provision Provider of the Year TES Award

We’re delighted to share that Pembroke House School has been shortlisted for the Specialist Provision Provider of the Year at the TES Awards. This is recognition that speaks directly to the heart of who we are and what we believe: that every child deserves to be truly seen, understood, and celebrated.

At Pembroke, learning support isn’t an add-on. It’s woven into the life of the school. Our Learning Support department develops personalised plans for each child, working closely with teachers and families to understand how every brain learns best. Some children need a little structure, others need more time, and many simply need to know that there is space for them to be themselves. That’s why we take such care to build programmes that respond to individual strengths, interests, and pace, never the other way around.

A key part of this approach is our Blue Room, a calm and nurturing space designed for children to decompress, reset, or take a quiet moment when the world feels a bit too loud. It’s a small room that makes a big difference: a reminder to our pupils that emotions are welcome here, and that taking a pause is part of learning, not a detour from it.

We are especially proud to be recognised in this category as a non-selective school. Our community thrives because it is made of humans of all kinds: thinkers, builders, dreamers, movers, worriers, chatterboxes, deep feelers, and quietly brilliant minds. Every child adds something irreplaceable to Pembroke, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Being shortlisted for this award is an honour, but more than that, it is a celebration of the children who walk through our gates each day, and the extraordinary team who support them with patience, expertise, and heart.

Here’s to them, and here’s to a community where every child belongs.
